I must show you this, one member of Crotian audio forum is very lucky guy, recently he has bought a NEW, yes a NEW AU1111 MOS VINTAGE in never opened box!!!

That is unreal! :) You don't find treasures like this very often, especially like that, unused.. :yes: Interesting how in one of the photos there is a light film of dust on the capacitors, quite amazing how dust finds its way into things.

Out of all the amps, of any manufacture, that's the one I'd like to have. And it is NOS brand spanking new too. Unbelievable. Someone in the Crotian audio forum got super lucky on that one, and got the best.

Whatever he paid...it was well worth it. 'One very lucky guy' to find an AU-1111 Mos Vintage NOS like that.

If that was on ePay or any of the ePay sites, worldwide, somewhere, I sure wish I would of seen it.

Yes, it is almost unreal...now we have several really rare Sansui amps which were never or (at least), rarely exported outside Japan
The guy who bought that Au-X1111MOS has also one AU-20000 excluxsively refreshed at its original state by our member Kale "the Perfectionist", and also an TU-9900.

As you mostly know, I am also from Croatia, member of the same forum there, and I am really happy our Sansui community is spreading all over the world:banana:
In this moment, we are negotiating/preparing to perform a comparison of thi very good pool of best Sansui integrateds of various periods:
- AU-X1111MOS, just arrived
- an very good refreshed and even upgrated AU-919 (form another member of the same Croatian forum)
- above mentioned AU-20000
- mine AU-Alpha907 MRX, 907DR and my ex AU-Alpha707DR (both now owned by my close friends)

But, I'm personally in doubt, what kind of contemporary high resolution speakers would be the best choice to compare all those amps? I'm personally using Dynaudio Confidence C1, but, I think also those are not the speakers of choice to reveal all the beauties and sophystication of the Sansui sound; one opinion g is to use some of the broadband units like Tannoy, WLM or similar -but, I want to hear what was the original intention of Sansui engeneers? I know the old JBLs were among the most used speakers, but nowadays there's a lot of quality designs also.
Any comment, suggestions and opinions are really wellcome

I always puzzled me; what speakers best fit the best of the best Sansui amps.

Sansui never really had any "hi-fi" speakers to compliment their utmost quality amplifiers.

I use NS-1000M's and think they sound fabulous with a CA-3000 and BA-3000 but you never know what the engineers at Sansui themselves used.
