This was on PBS last night, anyone watch/listen to it? It was awesome!

Chris Botti played his trumpet with his world-class band, backed up by the Boston Pops. With an eclectic guest list which included Sting, Lucia Micarelli, John Mayer, Josh Groban, Katharine McPhee, Sy Smith, Yo-Yo Ma and Steven Tyler!

The music went from jazz, soul to Sinatra! Good stuff!

I caught part of it, John Mayer saying he was channeling Sinatra was interesting...

Very enjoyable, the few minutes I was able to watch, will look for it again.

I saw it, and it was quite enjoyable. I like Botti's playing, and he seems to have brought out the best in all his guests

Enjoy,

Sounds great. Missed it but I'll check if it will be rebroadcast this weekend or something. Anybody know about that?

The PBS broadcast I saw was during their pledge drive. So there was a lot of interesting back stage stuff Botti spoke of during the pledge. At one point a spectactor in the crowd had a heart attack or something, the show was stopped for 1/2 hour. Botti was freaking, Sting was cool. Later Steven Tyler of Aerosmith did a song and dedicated it to his dad in the front row. Then there was a pretty funny moment when Botti, Sting and Groban kept screwing up a song.

The music was really great too. I'm thinking of getting the DVD/CD.
