Besides Chesky Records, can some of you please offer links to sources for SACD recordings. I typically listen to classical, jazz, and female soloists [as often found on the Chesky label].
Thanks!

Try this as a source for most SACD titles out there. http://www.sa-cd.net/titles Jim taylode 03-16-2009, 02:24 PM Another good source is Amazon.com. Search on SACD and you'll come up with lots of titles. f1 fan 03-16-2009, 02:30 PM Check out Acoustic Sounds. (www.acousticsounds.com) They have a wonderful selection of jazz on sacd. They also do live recordings and remasters themselves.Chad Kassem the owner is tops when it comes to reissues and sacd/vinyl releases. They have just released a whole batch of Blue Notes on sacd and more to come. Great people and wonderful selections. Also check out Music Direct. Channel classics www.channelclassics.com (all new releases are SACD) Alia vox (Jordi Savall’s lable) http://www.alia-vox.com/ Harmonia Mundi http://harmoniamundi.com/home_flash.php Pentatone http://www.pentatonemusic.com/index1.htm Hyperion records http://www.hyperion-records.co.uk/ BIS http://www.bis.se/ Some of these labels only release a limited number of SACDs while others publish everything in hybrid SACDs www.Sa-cd.net is fairly up to date. In the us, most things can be purchased from http://store.acousticsounds.com/store.cfm vahe 03-16-2009, 03:34 PM Additionally, with the complete lack of interest on the part of the major labels many orchestras have started their in-house labels and are releasing SACD’s. These include Boston, Chicago, San Francisco, Philadelphia and many European orchestras as well. Vahe MacStereo 03-16-2009, 03:59 PM My goodness. My sincere Thanks to All of You !!!!!!!!!! Therefore, it should play in any cd player. Most CD's that have been issued in the last 5 years are Hybrid. This means that there is both a CD layer and the SACD layer. These discs with play on any CD player, meaning they will access the CD layer. Only SCAD players will be able to access the SACD tracks. I have several SACD's that came out when the format was first released, and they will only play on SACD capable machines. MacStereo 03-16-2009, 04:38 PM Understood.
