My wife wanted to listen to music while hitting the treadmill, so she picked this up today.

I can't believe how small it is. And it has a display.

If they get much smaller, there wont be room for a headphone jack.

Wow is that small. I keep thinking about getting one for that exact purpose of being bored on the stairmaster. How is the sound quality? I occasionally use a cd or a cassette walkman right now and wonder if the small size is worth the admission price.

Have you ever gotten the skin on your wing dang doodly stuck in your zipper?

Imagine how you screamed.....

There, that's the sound quality.

Thank you; That's kinda what I was thinking it may sound like. I guess I'll stay in the stone age and keep playing my vintage walkmans. Nonetheless though it amazes me at how much information these tiny little buggers can store.

From the photo I can't make out the brand name. What device is this and how is the sound quality ?

Thanks. Snade

It is a Sandisk Sansa Clip. It has a clip on the back.

It sounds pretty good. I have never listened to my Daughter Ipod, so I can't compare. But for what it is, it's fine.

Walmart has them on sale for $40 and my wife thought it was so cute.
She had to have it.

The only draw back is it is designed to work with Rhapsody, so you have to pay a monthly fee after the 30 day free trial.

I will not pay $15 a month for her to get a song or two a month.
We will get all the music we can in the first 30 days.
You can load CD's or other music onto it as well.

It has EQ settings.

I would not buy one for critical listening, but for working out, it's great.

Haha.

Garbage in garbage out!

I always (as much as possible, and when possible) use 320kbps or higher when dealing with computers.

and I can recommend an Apple computer when using it for audio. Amazing full sounds. My MacBook Pro surprised me when I hooked it up to my stereo.

to rob: No screen. Just pointing out how freakin' small it is.

I don't care I got's me an iPhone! :)

I have a Sony MP3 player about the same size as that.

It's not too bad. I forget how much memory it has, but it holds about 200 songs or so.
I used to use it at work, but it's been sitting in my drawer for months now.
