I could not wait for home grown so I used canned diced tomatoes "drained"

Looks tasty HJ!
Rotel's spicy diced tomatoes are very good.
Rome
HORS D’OEUVRES
Not just for breakfast anymore.
like a souped up tomato and mayo sandwich, gotta be good
You should try sun dried tomato, some french bread, olive oil, and kalamata olives.
HatchetJack 03-30-2009, 07:08 AM Yeah, I make the french bread pizza with olive oil and everything else
quiet regular. Have not tried the sun dried tomatoes though but will
give it a shot on the next run. Btw, Ritz crackers work well too if not
better and its really :thmbsp: with home grown tomatoes but I am
still about 3 weeks away from setting out my plants.
toxcrusadr 03-30-2009, 01:51 PM Couple years ago I discovered the tomato sandwich - white bread, mayo, tomatoes, salt and pepper. The beefsteak kind, thick, juicy and at the peak of ripeness. I can eat those till I founder.

The only time of the year I buy "American" cheese or Velveta is for fresh tomato sandwiches. I can't wait for summer!!!
