I'm interested in setting my tonearm weight. The directions say 1 - 1.5 g. I've got a Micro-Acoustics 3002 cart (think fine line), I'm in the break in period (NOS) but I'm not sure whats the best setting. I've got it set at like 1.12 g right now. Any help?
suggestions dialing in this puppy...or general dial in procedures?

Cheers,

Bob

The cartridge directions say 1.0-1.5? My info says .75-1.5, but it doesn't matter. The best setting is middle and up. So 1.25g-1.4g. Too low and you actually can damage the vinyl.

Actually the instructions say 1 -1.25 g.. I moved the anti skate down a tad and there is minimal clics - listening to The Horseflies - Human Fly NOS mint .... it's breaking in. better and better.... the vail is lifting off the speaks...a tad brite to begin with tho and bass is rolled off - still beats the CD version. Fiddle, banjo and keys with standup bass and drums. Mmmighty fine. I can hear stuff not on the CD...ooo-la-la.

Cheers,
Bob
