After 3 years of happy ownership of an AT-PL120/440MLA I still find myself listening to quite a lot of vinyl and the rest of my system has reached the point that I could really benefit from a new turntable.

I'm in the middle of nowhere with no dealers within 300 miles for anything as far as I can tell. Based on a couple of people with similar systems and whose ears I have learned to trust, I'm finally ready to make a leap of faith and pull the trigger on a unit sight unseen (or sound unheard as it were).

It's down to either a VPI Scout or Avid Diva II with their standard arms and a Dynavector 20X-H. Anything else in this budget I should also consider? I'm leaning toward the Avid as I was told there is more tweaking possibility, and both people give it a slight nod over the scout. This will likely be the 'final stop' in this realm, I doubt I will upgrade past this level.

The relevant components of my system are:
C220 (MM phono stage)
MC252
Monitor audio RS8's

I listen to jazz and rock primarily.

If anyone has similar system, what cartridge are you using?
