Would someone have the parts list for rebuilding the AWR-101C? Although I am still working on troubleshooting a fairly minor problem, this is mostly for preventative maintenance.

Just look at the board. There are maybe a dozen capacitors on the board. All are available from Digi-Key or Mouser. You want 105-degree devices as replacements. Try to keep to the original capacitance values, and don't go up significantly in voltage, even though some will mistakenly advise you that a 100v capacitor can work properly in a 6v application.

Brands to use are Xicon, Nichicon, Vishay and Panasonic.

If you replace transistors, try to use exact replacements. Reheatsink any TO-220 series-pass regulators. Resolder any transistors or power resistors with aging connections.

I looked, I had no saved list (yet) or full post of parts to find (caps and replacements are posted, but not the complete list of transistors anywhere) and you could GREATLY accelerate the process by making a list of all the parts on the board, with their Cx,x designations and values / part numbers, making it quicker for me to look up and find their replacements and post them.

I HOPE by this weekend (Sunday Evening??) I can resolve and finish some things and get back online again, but a series of real world issues have forced me off line, or left me too tired to do accurate and reliable troubleshooting posts.

Then it will take a few days to work through all the lengthy requests....

More research came up with an entire replacement list of caps for the SX850 and these appear to be current/correct Mouser p/n for the AWR-101 board:

c10,11 647-UPW2A471MHD 470/100v
c12 647-UPW1V222MHD 2200/35v
c13 647-UPW1E102MPD6 1000/25v
c14 647-UPW1E221MPD 220/25v
c15 647-UPW1J471MHD 470/63v
c16,21 647-UPW1E470MDD 47/25v
c18 647-UPW1H470MED 47/50v
c19 647-UPW1H470MED 47/50v
c20 647-UPW1J101MPD 100/63v
c23 647-UPW1H101MPD 100/50v

The remaining parts below I do not have Mouser equivalents for, so some help would be appreciated here.

c1, 2 15000/50v

The transistors on the AWR101 are the following:
Q2 2SB507
Q3,5,7 2SC1318
Q1,8,9 2SD313
Q10 2SC869
Q4,6 2SA720
Not sure replacing all of these is necessary for preventative maintenance - opinions on this?

ZD1 WZ140
ZD2 WZ130
Any thoughts on whether the zeners need to be replaced?
It looks like I am part of the way there. Thanks very much for any assistance.

if it ain't broke don't fix it - with the exception of Q5 & Q7. While Q6 & Q7 could be in line for replacement / upgrade, their current load is under 5 mA, so they should stay cool, while Q5 DOES have quite a current draw and attendant power dissapation, so the itty bitty to-92 package is woefully heat stressed.

nothing on that unit pulls near 1.5 amps on the regulated supplies.....

zeners I just usually replace when a circuit is blown, because the fault could have damaged them, even if they test good, and it's cheap peace of mind. THAT'S why they show up on the lists - sometimes the lists are for actual repairs, instead of preventative action.

p.s. I'm in between paint coats.... that's why I could post...

Mark,
Thank you for the transistor replacement p/n's. I'll swap out all electrolytics and the suggested transistors. Although I am considering preventative maintenance while I work on the 850, I am also chasing down a gremlin, which I have in another post. I have changed components on the AWM-062 board so I have ruled that out.

I'm gearing up to recap the PS brd on my SX-950 when I resolve some other issues, so this thread is timely. I'm following the list of caps from the SM I have for the 950 but c12 is listed as 1,000/35v for the 950. Is the 850 different or is it an intentional change --3rd possibility, my SM is wrong. c13 is the same as what you've listed, just curious.......Dan
