Here is a great non tomato BBQ sauce that I have been using on baby back ribs for years
1 cup dark brown sugar (packed)
3/4 cup coarse grain mustard (Gulden's)
1/3 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cup of molasses
1-1/2 tbsp dry mustard
Combine and bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for at least 5 minutes.

Meat prep
Rub baby back ribs with crushed garlic and fresh ground pepper (both sides)
Wrap in foil and bake at 325 degrees for 90 minutes.

You may then use meat at any time. I usually bake the meat the day before the ribs are to be cooked. This allows for more beer drinking during the party. Finish the ribs on medium heat basting with the sauce. With this sauce, you must watch for burning. The sauce will easily last for a year in the fridge, but it never survives that long in my house!

There are so many good sauce recipes. But you did just talk me into cooking me some babybacks tomorrow. Going to get them from the freezer now.
