I have had good success while recording varous vinyl and cassette with my intel system. My question is this--Is there a sound quality difference noticed in making additional copies downloaded from the created recorded cd or the created wave file? thanks

Assuming the CD burned perfectly from a lossless source file, and you rip it with an error-correcting utility like EAC, it should be bit perfect.
File copies are always going to be perfect unless you have some serious problems, which you would probably be aware of.
Check your event logs for errors and use the COMP utility to compare some files if you have doubts about your system.

Thanks. I have recorded some 25+ year DIY cassette and found them, to be excellant in sound quality.

Better tape than the commercial casettes and 1:1 recording speed, I can imagine that sound better than pre-recorded tapes.
