The most notable issues are:

- some construction along I-275 between I-96 and 8 Mile Road. Hopefully weekend traffic volumes will make it a non-issue, but Friday arrivals might encounter some slower traffic on I-275 in the construction area.

- I-96, to the west of the Fest - out towards Novi - construction east and west bound will slow traffic on Friday and over the weekend.

- I-696 - bridges under construction will block some lanes between I-275 and Orchard Lake Road both east and west bound.

I'll be coming from the east side on 696. Is there an easy shortcut around the 696/96 interchange? I'm thinking taking an exit before the interchange, then dropping south and over to the fest. Being an old-time Eastsider, I'm lost on the west side once I get off the freeways. :D

You can exit 696 at Telegraph or Orchard Lake Road, and them come south to 8 Mile Road. 8 Mile Road West, you'll pass Newburgh Road. Then, about 1/2 mile further, look for Victor Parkway on your left. Once on Victor Parkway, go about 1/2 mile, and the hotel will be on your right.
