hi all.. i currently own a sansui 9090db, my first vintage receiver. i'm curious about trying out a pioneer sx-1050/1080 or even sx-1250/1280 (if i can find one for the right price).

i'm just wondering if anyone has compared these receivers and can give feedback on the sound differences. is there a general "sansui sound" or "pioneer sound". i have heard that sansui's tend to have a warmer, "fuller" sound vs pioneer's more accurate sound?.. but i've heard the opposite as well.

how do the sound characteristics compare? which is more sonically accurate? just wanted to get some feedback before i throw money down.. thanks in advance!
