5 lb roast
lots of pepperocini peppers
3-5 tablespoons garlic
2-3 cans sliced mushrooms
1-2 cans of beer

Place roast in large crockpot, cover with pepperocini plus juice, mushrooms plus juice, 1-2 cans beer. Some like to add a can of beef broth. Turn on high, go play with audio gear for 3-4 hours, return, slice roast, put mayonnaise (thick) on both sides of your favorite roll, add meat slices, salt & pepper, top with pepperocinni and mushroom, enjoy!

The beauty of this is that it is easy for the weekends and the recipe is infinitely vairable. Next time, I may go with lettuce and tomato as well, once the tomatoes are in season. Slice of onion perhaps? Woeber's Horseradish Sauce instead of mayo?

Now you got me thinking.

It's too easy and too good not to try! This is my first time cooking it and it will definitely make the standard rotation of meals around my house!

my mom makes this same thing with shredded beef and italian seasoning, and it's the best. portillo's (a Chicago chain) makes a pretty good italian beef with hot peppers, but they got nothin' on mom!

I made a big roast and over the last week, I reheated this several times in the crock pot. Total cook time was around 9 hours and the meat was practically falling apart by the time I finished off the beef. The next time I make this, I will probably cook it overnight the first go around. I may also get two smaller roasts, one pork and one beef, and cook them together.
