Hello Guys,
I picked up a Zenith H845 a while back and am going to update it with new caps and diode. I just had a question for anyone out there who ownes one. When I was pulling off the back cover I had a wire break at a spot on the radio somewhere. It is on the coil mounted on the back cover. Is that grounded to the chassis or does it go somewhere else? The other wire comes off the coil and is attatched inside the chassis. I don't have the radio handy so I can't say where it goes. I do have the Sams for it and the picture of the chassis shows the three wires I know where they go but not the 4th wire. Thanks for the help.

Here you go. There is that little nub on the chassis where all the solder is. I am not sure if it goes there but I can't see anything else.

I checked Nostalgia Air and they don't show a schematic for this radio, so I'm operating in the dark. But since you have the Sam's folder, look at the schematic and find the antenna coil. If one of the 4 wires going to it goes to ground, that confirms where the wire goes. And it probably does. Antennas usually have a grounded side.

Are you talking about that brown wire? Usually, black wires are grounded to the chassis!
