Does anyone know what the stamper numbers are on the original UK pressing of Animals?

Still no luck. The insert has rounded corners, there is no barcode, and all the handwritten copyright jargon is there. Maybe this is a box-set refugee?

Glad I could enable ya! I was listening to a Japanese Press Meddle last night. These two are my favorite Floyd LP's along with Piper.

There would be no Bar code on a UK pressing of Animals since it's a 1977 Album and Bar codes first appeared on the second or third pressing of THE WALL if I remember correctly.

So now some questions:

What color is the Label?
Is the inner sleeve cardboard?
Does it have a 9" notch on the open end?

Cause the closest thing I can find is a 7th pressing of the 1st issue but it would have a Plain White Lable to have that Matrix number (well close the your 6 would have to be a 7)

The two Box sets that it could have come from are nothing like you have described.

Yours is a first issue. The matrix for first issues goes up to -5 -6 making yours a first issue. Plus no bar code.

Looked at mine last night and its a SHVL 815 A-2U / SHVL 815 B-2U.

I did not play it - choosing "Relaxin' with the Miles Davis Quintet" LP instead.

This UK LP is indeed a notch above a pre-bar code US LP if you are really into PF.

I emailed the Pink Floyd Archives guy ad he is on the case. I'll post his response as soon as I get it. Thanks to all.
