The Siegel-Schwall Band is playing locally soon. I have one album of theirs '953 West' and really like it. Has anyone seen one of their live shows and are they worth seeing or what?
Your opinions mean more to me that any online reviews.

I saw them several times back in the 70's, among the most fun live shows I've seen. If they're still moving around, I'll bet they're great. 953 West is a good album, but I like most of their others better.

I've seen them 10-20 times back in the day in Milwaukee. Very much a fun band and Corky can really rip it up on the harmonica. Rollo was pretty good on his bass solo in "Hush, Hush" (or was it "Corinna"???) I've got at least 4 of their LP. "The Siegal Schwall Band" on Wooden Nickel and "Sleepy Hollow" are probably the most played.
Where are they playing? I'd probably go see them just to pretend I'm 21 again :D

My Dance card is open, so I guess I will have to check them out. Especially since it is a Saturday night show.

I only heard about them through the various Alligator compilations, they sound like a great party band. Didn't know they were still kicking. "I Think it Was the Wine" is in my Alcohol/Drinking mix cd.

They are still alive and well. I haven't seen them in recent years, there has always been some sort of conflict.
I've got some in my CD catalog, will update later.

I listened to the the live cuts of "Corrina" and "Hush, Hush" last night and they blew me back to the UWM Student Union in the 70's.
