The stylus needs replacing on this one and I was wondering for this TT (Technics SL-B210) should I invest in a new cartridge W/stylus or just replace the existing styli? I don't know what the TT sounds like yet, I just replaced the belt and discovered the stylus issue. I appreciate your thoughts on this.:scratch2:

This is a rebadged AT-102EP, the entry level elliptical in what was a good series of cartridges and has upgrade capabilities all the way to fancy line contact styli. They're not cheap though. Note group L in the link below:

They sell the less expensive styli at lpgear and turntableneedles.

However, another option is to upgrade to a cartridge from the later series with a .3 x .7 elliptical stylus for peanuts. Just look up AT-92ECD on ebay and you'll find dealers selling it for $24 shipped. Many have tried this cartridge and confirm that it is far better than its price suggests. And this cartridge can also be upgraded to line contact quality down the road if you like.
