I picked up a set up Linn Index II speakers a few weeks ago off craigslist.

I really enjoy how they sound, but I would like to hear them at their best. Does anybody have a recommendation for proper stands for them?

Also, any guess as to value? I think I paid a fair price for them, but they may be worth more to somebody else than they are to me.

I own a pair of Linn Index, presumably an earlier version of yours. I am currently running mine blue tacked to two low bookshelves, driving them with an Arcam Delta 290. I had originally planned on using stands, but the stands I had were too narrow for the vintage style Indexes.

No clue how much an Index II is worth, but if it is as good or better then the Indexes I have, it is a fine sounding speaker.
