Love the stuff he does on The Great Curve on Talking Heads' Remain in Light album. And the stuff he did with Frank Zappa. And his solo stuff. And King Crimson.

Geez, he's been busy. I met him at an album signing back in the day when Sam's Jams was still on Nine Mile in downtown Fashionable Ferndale.

Met Tuck and Patty there, too, fwiw.

Huge Belew fan here. Seen and met him many times.

Big Electric Cat has to be one of my favorite tracks of all-time, Spartan. Have an absolutely pristine piece of vinyl of Lone Rhino... oh, my.

Great, great guitarist.

Don't own any of his stuff, but was always amazed at the animal-like sounds he made on several of Bowie's albums. He also did a spot-on take of "Me & My Arrow" on 'For The Love of Harry...a Tribute to Nilsson'.

Very cool. I've really like all phases of his career and his solo stuff rocks. I'll have to check his site to see if he is playing here in Toronto. There was a rumour that he started , claiming he was going to tour with his power trio, opening for Zappa Plays Zappa, at which point I would have to kill someone to get a ticket....

I've said many times that the solo shows i've seen him perform have been the most enjoyable. He was always smiling and had this kid like enthusiasm that said "hey, look everybody, I just found this cool guitar, let's see what I can make it do!!"

I saw him at the Opheum back home in Boston with King Krimson in the early 80's. Fripp sat on a stool, overly focused on strange cyclical progressions, while Belew did ran around doing all of his animals sounds. He's the only guy I have seen pull tones from an axe by bending the neck with a grab and twist of the headstock, and still come out in tune enough to make it through the song.
