Great coverage of a phenomenal race. And one of the Best Steve McQueen films! Did you know that he actually crashed three 917-30 Porsches making that movie and at the time they were $135,000.00 each thats 1970 money!

He could afford it. That was a beast of a race car and back when the LeMans track had not been "detuned" for safety. It took some nerve to even go out and drive on it. Bet the studio heavies had a heart attack every time he fired it up.
