Hey thats the whole question. I hadn't done it before. I asked in the general speaker forum if anyone knew/recommended a good place to get my large advents done perfectly the first time. My only responses were do it yourself - you'll save money, etc.
Can anyone give me an answer that doesn't sound like "do it yourself, etc"
thanks for all your help

I agree and sympathize with you, that is all I got when I ask long ago about someone in Michigan to re-do my Infinities.
Do it yourself was the usual reply. BULLS###!! I am not experienced and do not want to use them as a practice target.

So someone out there---Please help us out and point us in the right direction.
James

There are a number of folks in SMAC that have experience refoaming woofers - don't know about Advents, or if Advents are somehow a different beast than a regular refoam job.

Ask on the SMAC list - send me an email and I will forward to the group. You may want to mention that you're willing to pay for such a service and what you think is a reasonable price.

Hi again
Yes of course I am willing to pay for the service. I am not practicing on these speakers, perhaps I can get some nasty junkers to do so, but not New Advents that are otherwise mint in wood.

I can refoam woofers. I have re-foamed 4-15", 6-12", and 2-10" and all came out fine. 2 of the 12" I used myself for almost 10 years, and sold them.
