Hey I need advice on hooking up my new horn speakers. The connector is the same as a microphone or headphone jack. How do I go about connecting my amp ( with the usual binding posts) to these speakers? I'd like it to be as simple as possible.

Thanks Mike

go to your local electronics store ( radio shack etc...) and buy two 1/4" plugs. Then break out your trusty soldering iron and make your own cables. It's actually very easy.

Ward I wouldn't solder both the negative and positive speaker wire to the one phono plug would I?

you solder the wires to different posts

Thanks Ward. I'm guessing then that polarity wouldn't really be an issue then.1 final question. Do I get a mono plug or a stereo plug?

Speakers use mono plugs. Typically you solder the positive to the center post and the negative to the outer post.
