Hi all. I'm kind of new here and I'd like your opinion. I have owned a trouble-free 1970 Pioneer Receiver SX1000-TW since it was about one year old (that makes 38 years of use and still working like a charm).
What do you think of this model?

38 years of ownership, and still works like a charm. How can you beat that?
Shouldn't matter what anyone thinks.

That's one hell of a receiver for putting up with you for 38 years without failure. My wife has only had to put up with me for 27, and she's starting to break down!:D
I've had my SX-434 since I bought it new in the summer of '74. It's been put away sealed in plastic for the last ten years or so. Maybe I should get it out and start it up again in the rotation.

I've got one in the living room system and I can't stop listening to it!

I've got one sitting on my bench, getting ready to be "revitalized". Mine is a TD. I was inspired to get it out of moth balls by all the SX-1000 threads I've seen lately.
