I've got a line on a couple of Altec 811 horns with 806-8b drivers from Valencia cabs. Any idea what a decent price would be?

I've never run into 806-8B drivers before, just 806-8a on 846B Val's, if original and the horns are not cracked or missing any corners, I'd figure $200 ---> $300 range, just my opinion of course!! :thmbsp:

Yeah the 8b drivers are what's throwing me off. I can't really find any ebay type info on them. I just don't want to buy the unwanted orphan of the Altec line.

100 would be no-brainer territory. 50-100 for the 811's alone would be worth it.

If they were $50 I'd be testing them right now, I think this deal will cost me $125-$150. I've been dying to play with some horn based Altec 2 ways and this would get me half way there if they're decent drivers. I'm looking for something efficient for a tube based system.

At a buck and a quarter to half I don't know why we're still talking about them, GO GET THEM!!! :yes: The "B" driver might have a tangerine phase plug? :scratch2:

I've completed a bunch of house chores so I figure I might as well broach the subject with Mrs. Scuzzer. I'm sure I'll get the "what about all the OTHER speakers we have around here?" spiel before she just rubber stamps it. It's all about brownie point debits and credits.
