Does anyone have the manual for the wand (tp-62/tp-63)?

Alternatively, could someone tell me how to use the box? It's supposed to work as an alignment accessory.

gouzos,
The Analog department probably has what you need.
As an example, here's a link to a TD147 with a tp-63 armwand setup. The first part is in German. Then it's repeated in English.

Any spare tp-62 armwands? I'm looking for two.
My self-coined phrase for these is "the sandaltoe" tonearm. The pictured one in the link above is a tp-63.

I've found the manuals, but not a decent armwand.

That was helpful, thanks.
I think I figured it out more or less. Do you consider this method accurate?

I'm actually looking for an extra too. If I find anything I'll try to remember to give you a pointer.

The Thorens gauges are not accurate. Use an alignment protractor.

Just got a Thorens TD 166 MKII. The mice had eaten the wires off the arm wand. Was able to get the wand apart to solder wires on the end to hook up the cart. It was very tight and I swore it would hum. Its very quiet:D I did get an arm with the wand and would like to try different cart. It did come with a Stanton D81E (?). Also in the box was a brand new stylus:thmbsp: Sounds very nice. Got it free. Came with a bunch of LPs (600) Gave 400 to Salvation Army.

I ordered a belt for it today. Starts slow works on 33 but is stretched and wont work on 45. Been spinning a lot of vinyl. Had a TD 160 off Ebay that did not have a dust cover. It had a good sound but I decided to specialize with Duals. When I found out this lady was giving away LPs and a turntable, three brands came to mind Dual,Elac, and Thorens. If the mice had not eaten the wires I would have bought it. She ended up giving it to me:D

The Mrs asked if I was going to sell the Thorens. Nahhh! At 26 years its 14 years newer than my youngest Dual. Put it on my shop set, Giving the Dual 1009 a rest.

How do you like the Thorens? Mine is tied to my Pioneer SX 850 with JBL L100speakers Works well with the Stanton Cart that was designed to play Quad LPs. Dont have much $$$ but have a Shure M97 on the Dual. I will try it on the 2nd TP 63 I have coming. The arm is better than the TD 160, Which wasnt bad. Looks like it could handle just about any cart.

Post your results...

Here are some free arc protractor's you can print out, scroll down until you see Thorens on the right side. I use these for my SME arm and they work great!:thmbsp:

I was very excited when I got it, but I've been having troubles setting it up. Raising the arm to get VTA correct, screws up the rest of the setup.
Here's the whole ordeal http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/showthread.php?t=235587
