The wife & I were watching America's Got Talent tonight, mostly the usual minor talents trying to hit the big time. The final act was a hillbilly-looking, unemployed chicken catcher. The judges did their usual eye rolling at his appearance, not expecting much. Then he proceeded to blow them away with a beautiful, heart wrenching, heartfelt song. Well worth putting up with the first 55 minutes of the show.

Hmmmm, that scenario sounds suspiciously familiar. Perhaps this guy and Susan Boyle can get together and have a love child. Funny lookin', but with the voice of an angel.

I do hope someone in the business noticed Barbara. She should be singing on a concert stage or with The Boston Pops or other first-rate outfit. She is, imho, the best singer who has ever been on that show but classically trained singers do not win talent contests. Too many viewers/voters don't get it.
