I picked up a MC-2120 this morning at a tag sale.

At 65 pounds it was a very heavy pick up.

I paid $100.00 untested. I cleaned out the pots and it seems to be working well. I just need to replace the lamps - 3 of the 4 are burned out.

In the pictures I have the unit open. It didn't come with a cabinet.

Very nice!

I've had a MC2120 for a couple of years now, and it's an excellent (and underrated) amplifier. Mine, unfortunately, has some sort of odd intermittent drop-out issue in the right channel. :sigh: Hopefully, I'll be able to diagnose it on my own one of these days. As far as the bulbs go, while you're replacing the dead ones, I'd check to see if the original filter capacitors on the lamp board have been replaced. The caps tend to go bad over the years, often taking the diodes with them. If the caps look fairly new (the old ones will probably be orange), you don't have to worry.

Thanks for the information on the lamp board. The filter caps have an orange tint to them. I'll replace them at the same time as the lamps which I've already ordered.

I'm sure no work has ever been done on the amplifier.
