Thanks for help setting this up. It works well. But there's something weird happening.
If I forget to clamp the tonearm before shutting the TT off, it will drift out of its rest toward the center spindle. Yes, the TT is level -- and the arm will remain in place as long as the unit's power is on. Turn it off and the arm will rise and drfit. Magnetic attraction? Does it have something to do with servo control?
Also, isn't the TT supposed to remain inoperable unless there's a disk on the platter? In this case, pressing Start activates the arm, then the platter - and then the stylus settles (if allowed!) right into what would be the lead-in groove. I thought there was some kind of sensor that prevented this kind of goof. (And, yes, I've been quick enough to prevent another dead stylus.)
Wish I could find an instruction manual for this one. Anyone have any leads? -- Patrick
