Thanks for help setting this up. It works well. But there's something weird happening.

If I forget to clamp the tonearm before shutting the TT off, it will drift out of its rest toward the center spindle. Yes, the TT is level -- and the arm will remain in place as long as the unit's power is on. Turn it off and the arm will rise and drfit. Magnetic attraction? Does it have something to do with servo control?

Also, isn't the TT supposed to remain inoperable unless there's a disk on the platter? In this case, pressing Start activates the arm, then the platter - and then the stylus settles (if allowed!) right into what would be the lead-in groove. I thought there was some kind of sensor that prevented this kind of goof. (And, yes, I've been quick enough to prevent another dead stylus.)

Wish I could find an instruction manual for this one. Anyone have any leads? -- Patrick

Hi Patrick

Sorry no experience with that table but these guys can help you. I only seen a listing for the owners manual in French but maybe you can get it translated. It should get you in the ball park. Good luck http://www.nakedresource.com/library_turntables.shtml

Grumpy, thanks for the Vinyl Engine lead. Downloaded the French owner's manual - and the full English service manual. Between the two of them (and a reach back into highschool French), I should be able to figure this one out.

Nice TT. Tracks well and looks good too. Gonna try several old cartridges lying around here (including a Sony XL-MC3 with Empire MC adapters) to find the right combo. Best TT I've owned since the Thorens TD-125/SME set-up, the one that would jump if you sneezed in the next room.

Thanks again. -- Patrick
