Hello,

Any information or comments on this turntable would be appreciated. I bought it yesterday, but can find little information on it.

Thanks in advance,
gary

All I can tell you is that it is from 1966 and it is belt drive. It may be a cool vintage piece, but don't know about the hi-fi qualities. A picture would be very helpful.

got a picture. I have a PS 1800. Maybe a mid 60's table off the top of my head. Yours might be a newer version. I think another member has the same TT as you. It is a keeper if it's like the one I have. Worth a restore in my opinion.
Forgot to mention it is a semi auto-matic turntable. Has a return at end of play function. That might have an issue. A good TT.

Thanks for the input. The table is in very good condition, sounds good, etc. Came with owner's manual and photo from early 70's of the owners system spread out on a coffee table, pretty cool.

Are these TT's common? (It has a record brush contraption on the side opposite the tone arm that tracks ahead of the needle.. never seen anything like it.)

They are very good turntables. The mirrors on the stobe periscope is likely to be shot but can be easily repaired with front surface mirror repair film available from some camera supply houses.

I refurbished one and donated it to an audio museum in southern Oregon. It was vintage about 1969 to 1971. It was concurrent with the PS-2500, one of the first electronic direct-drive turntables.

Sounds like I got a decent deal. I was able to trade for a cartridge and needle bought when the tt was new. Hopefully will be set for awhile.
