Pretty darn nice stereo receiver. Pick it up for a buck 30 on the bay. Harman sells there refurbished products there. Anyway it is a very clean and neutral sounding receiver. Weighs in just over 20lbs and has two 10,000uF caps. Here is an inside shot. (oh is that white stuff normal around some of the caps?)

I've got a 3390 too, but you got the better deal. Enjoy. It really is a decent receiver, will play 4 ohm speakers and won't break a sweat.

I bought one of these refurbed on ebay myself and quickly returned it. It's VERY neutral sounding...too neutral for me. Call me an old-fashioned simpleton but I very much like to have a loudness switch. The bass/treble knobs on the 3390 did next to nothing for EQ. No filters, no nothing. I know they're going for music listening purity with that receiver, but it's too boring for me. I actually like how it looks for a modern receiver though.

I have the HK3490. Got it refurbed on Harmanaudio outlet. It's on a lot most days from the time I get home from work to the time I go to bed. It's my main system and I'm listening to it right now. Paired with some Infinity Primus P152s and a sub to add bass. I'm loving this setup for the short time that I've had it and do not feel compelled to move up or move on.
