This is one of those...I feel kinda stupid moments. But I have the ability to be able to laugh at / with myself. Anyway it has a 12SN7 and a 12SL7
tube in it and it was only $4.00 at the estate sale ...:lmao: :smoke:

Try tweaking it, and let us know how it sounds?

It also has a nifty contactor and probably a transformer that could serve at least as a filament transformer for something, unless it's a typical 24 volt tranny and those filaments are wired in series. Somehow it's still gotta be worth at least your 4 bucks. Cool conversation piece if nothing else, i've never seen one before this thread.

I wish it wasn't missing that cover. Still I think I will clean it up,and maybe stain the wood block it's on and center it just for giggles !

Now I have to find a vintage vacuum tube thermostat or my apartment will never be perfectly comfortable. Thanks. ;)

You could wire it up to a cooling fan for your tube gear. Would look nice and be "vintage cooling".
Actually, I'd think you could use that chassis as the basis for a nice tube preamp or headphone amp.
