Just a note to remind you guys that most of these so called pro packing places have no idea how to pack a heavy receiver. Make sure your "Pro-Packer" knows what he/she is doing before letting them have at it.

Most of these guys use big boxes and peanuts. . . It may look spectacular at first but it doesnt stand a chance of getting there undamaged.

Even some factory shipping boxes are inadequate for a vintage heavy receiver, most times the styrofoam has become brittle and breaks easy.

Just double boxing does nothing except make it harder for the shipper to handle. . . A well packed box using lots of bubble wrap (big bubble) almost a whole roll in some cases and foam panels that you can get from Home Depot. Make a nice tight box with all sharp square edges that is easy for the shipper to pick up.

Only point is looks can be decieving. Your heavy item might look great sitting at "Kinkos" or at some other "Pro-Packer" place but think about how it will look after it is handled about 20 times and tossed around like a rag doll. Your package must be able to survive a 3 foot drop not once but 20 times or even more.
