I know this has probably been covered a million times but slight surface noise on brand new LPs is causing me some anguish. What is the cause of it?
This has happened on other tables but in this case I'm using a Revolver TT with AT95E cart. I believe I have the cartridge all lined up correct, the tonearm balance and vertical tracking are set to recommended weight. The TT is level.
It's still getting that little bit of crackle here and there. Is it likely to be the cartridge not quite being aligned spot on or is it just inevitable that we get some surface noise?
