I am posting this on behalf of a friend.
He is lucky enough to own a nice Luxman MQ3600 power amplifier.
Unfortunately one output transformer got fried - reason unknown.
The transformer is a Luxman OY15 (3.6k ohm).
How can the resin potting material be "dissolved" so that the transformer can be removed from its metal can and sent in to be rewound? Has anybody attempted this before?
