Picked up 4 IPC/Simplex tube amps, model A-1011. I'm familiar with the model A-1001 but can't find any specs or schematic for this model. Anyone have any experience with this amp? Has 2 6L6's, 2 6SN7, 1 6J6, and a 5Y3 rectifier tube. Also have another orphan in that find, an Electro-Acoustic tube amp. That one has 2A3 outputs but no other info.
Thanks,
Andy

They sound pretty sweet, Andy! What kind of build quality are we talking here? Got pictures yet? :scratch2:

They were built for movie projection use. I've seen many a A-1001 IPC but never a A-1011. The tube complement is different between the 2 amps. The A-1011 is built under license from WE. As with most IPC stuff, all the componets are IPC branded including the transformers. I'll try to snap some pictures.l

Early Theater power amplifier made under WE license. IPC is International Projector Company, makers of Simplex projectors (now owned by Strong). Brad Miller at Film-Tech (www.film-tech.com) may have manuals on his site.

Already looked at Film Tech and just came up with a parts list. I'm thinking that this amp is part of a cabinet system that included the preamp and monitor. Still should have a schematic somewhere for it.
