I have no idea how to use the equalizer, bias, memory, tape Lead in switches, but i'm pretty sure i've had them set right all the times i tried to record. I'm gettintg nothing on the tapes, but a little fragment here and there, and it doesn't overwrite what's 0n the tape when i try a used one.
Anyone run into this problem, or know how to fix this?

Can be as simple as cleaning the Record/Playback Switch located on Main PCB. You canīt miss it.

Itīs a multi pin switch for different circuits. Use a De-Oxide spray.

Another reason to buy some De-oxit.
Many thanks.

Make sure the heads are clean also... A dirty record head will do what you describe
