I went through the Marantz ST 8 tuner tonight, cleaned it up and did some minor adjustments.

Then put it in main system, and ran it through a few stations, AM, ...then FM ..... FM stereo.

Man! Does it really work nice !! Scope works perfectly, and does it ever pull in the stations! Very, very sensitive.

It has a FM stereo separation that I've rarely heard. And even the weak stations stereo will come in crystal clear.

Stereo imaging sounds like an LP, rather than radio.

Truly amazing tuner. This will be my "keeper" forever I imagine.

This testing was with a Rat Shack $3 wire antenna.

Now I see what all the fuss is about, when a 2130 Marantz goes up for sale. (The ST 8 has same specs)

Easily the best analog tuner I've ever heard.
