My new to me preamp uses these tubes and I ma curious as the tubes I should be looking for. I have a few in my possession already, but tubes I am finding are a disease.

To me, the most desirable tubes are the ones I do not already own.

The 12SX7 is considered to be one of the best 12SN7 variants.

RCA, Sylvania, Raytheon, Tung-Sol, Ken-Rad, and especially older production tubes (from a $-value standpoint, moreso than sonics).

Thanks guys. I have a set of 12sx7 so I will give them a try. I am pretty much looking for recommendations based on sonics.
