Anyone picked up a copy of, or listened to, Beautiful Dreamer: The Songs of Stephen Foster yet? I almost buy it every time I see it, but just not sure how good it is - if it is any good that is. I normally stay away from tribute disks, but this one looks interesting.

Any opinions?

I've almost pulled the trigger on that one a couple of times, Dave. I 've heard snippets of a few of the songs, in particular, John Prine sings one. It looks interesting enough, but not quite enough to lay down the cash for it yet.

I've got it and it's excellent. The title track is especially good.
The amazing thing is how fresh they sound, a tribute indeed to good song writing.
