When I was thinking of fixing my Infinity QSL-3's, I wrote to Watkins to find out how much it would cost to fix a pair - here is what he wrote back.
" We rebuild them to original specs.
Cost:
8 inch $ 94.00 pair
10 inch 118.00 pair
12 inch 138.00 pair
Return shipping by UPS, $ 8.00 pair in USA
Turnaround time - 3 working days
Bolt them together - face-to-face - overpack
and ship to us by UPS with check enclosed.
Ship to
Watkins Stereo and Engineering
1019 East Center St.
Kingsport TN 37660
Thanks.
Bill Watkins"
I think the prices are decent. This is FYI for all.

NUTS!!!
I just paid $150 with shipping for two Infinity/Watkins woofers for my RS 2.5's that still need to have the surrounds done!
I just assumed that when Watkins said "we aint cheap" on his webpage he was out of this world expensive!
Oh well, at least some others might profit from the info......

N'yah, n'yah ! I just toss my WSC 1As in the back of the Excursion, motor the 35 miles up to Kingsport & Bill helps me unload 'em...Only have had to do that twice in the 27 years I've owned 'em ,tho. No, wait-the 2nd time was when I bought the second pair of 1As. You guys oughta see the basement of the Watkins shop-speaker heaven. Old man Watkins is a trip, too. He's prolly forgot more about audio than most of us will ever know. That reminds me-I need to go up there & drop in & say Hi-haven't seen 'em in a while.-Sandy G.

I think this thread deserves to be a Sticky, otherwise it will be lost in the archives again soon. It could perhaps become the resource folder for all things Watkins Wooferish....what do you all think?

I had them do both my RS-2.5 (Watkins) and my RS-II (which aren't Watkins), and they did a terrific job, with really fast turnaround. Highly recommend them.

With rebuilt he means that he fixes them? Or that you can still buy new woofers? Becaue I actually need 2 polyprop watkins woofers for my RS1.5's (they have carton at the moment but it should have polyprops)
