Are there any new vinyl being produced? Artists say in the past 10 years. I picked up a Melissa Etheridge vinyl the other day from 1999 and wonder what else might be available. Is there a web site selling new vinyl?
CD's don't do much for me except in the car.
Thanks
Terry

Depending on the type of music you like, there's more new vinyl available now than in the last many years. In the alternative/indie genre, new vinyl is very well-represented. I really don't know about more mainstream music, cuz I don't listen to it or look for it. A coupla online venues I've used and can recommend:

There is new vinyl coming out these days, ranging from Pop to classical to whatever.
Be aware though, of (current) vinyl's dirty little secret. Unless it specifically says otherwise, odds are its been recorded digitally and then DACed for the vinyl. That may or may not matter to you.

I can tell the difference and obviously prefer my vinyl to have not been digitized. That being said, that stuff still sounds light years better then the same CD in the few (bout ten or so) items I have on both.
I have recently gotten a couple titles on vinyl that I've had CD's of for a long time. Both were digitized vinyl. I am amazed it how much better the vinyl sounds.
There is a veritable plethora of newer vinyl available. Much of it remains less expensive then the digital counterpart while some is quite expensive.
Happy hunting!

There is new vinyl coming out all the time. I usually get mine at a local record store that sells new and used vinyl. I also orderd some stuff online from here. http://elusivedisc.com/
New vinyl can be a little pricey, but, you play ...you pay.
