For Sale at Audio Atlanta, on consignment from a customer:
VTL "Ultimate" Tube Preamp, from ~1989. Some cosmetic flaws (dinged corner, etc), but works properly and sounds great.
This preamp is a TRUE dual-mono design... to the extent of having TWO source selector knobs (one for each channel), two channel gain trimmers (instead of a balance pot), and TWO COMPLETELY SEPERATE power supplies, each with its own on-off switch and its own umbillical cord to the main part of the chassis. Has (very good quality!) moving magnet phono preamps, installed.
Essentially, it's got the parts that normally would go into a two-chassis unit, but packaged so it fits into a standard 3-rack-height normal 17"/19" wide unit. Unit has black faceplate and chassis.
We're offering this unit for $900 plus shipping.
