I've been on this site several times over the past few years just to browse the forums and finally decided I had to join the fun. I often wonder where all the true audiophiles are here in Houston? I first was bitten by the audio bug back in 1987 when the golden age of car audio was in its infancy. I was the guy that use to install everyone's car audio systems for free just for my enjoyment. My knowledge in audio has only been self taught through research, conducting my own experiments, and building my own enclosures. Audio has been a hobby and passion of mine for the past 22 years and I'm still learning. Around 1998 I began working for the original Home Entertainment Inc. in Houston that had been around since 1957 as a "custom audio/video installer". It later went corporate(Tweeter) and I didn't like the direction the company was taking so I quit after 2 1/2 years. I also worked for LD Systems in which I was heavily involved in the Reliant Stadium sound system project. It's been probably 5 years since I have done a/v installs professionally. I have since done work as a CNC machinist. I still work on projects for myself at home. I am glad to now be part of a group that shares my passion of getting one step closer to sonic perfection.
