Has anyone re-vampt a Minivan into a weekend overnighter for Trial/Motorcross competitions? I had a chevy Astro extended (Tiara)Hightop but sold it a few years back. Now my son is into "trial" and I want to come out as cheap as possible. I thought that I could use an astro and re-do the interior for weekend meets. There would be a maximal of three people and a Bike.

Any suggestions. ??

Also, information about what motors are not recommended (I had a 4.3 V6 wich was good and the only problem was the freeze plugs) Is a smaller motor ok? Is ford better? I have been living in Germany for about 30 years and don't know much about the plus's & minus's of different makes, But, I like American cars better than the European cars. (My wife too!!!!)

Check out Ausie and Kiwi sites for their weekend mini-vans. I saw a lot of nice conversions when we were down there a few years ago :)
