Harald,

Hope the copy of Robbie Robertson you snagged is in good shape. The 99 cent copy I found a few months ago is excellent sounding. I'd never heard the vinyl version of it before- one of my favorites of all time.

Also, incidentally, I understand Leonard Cohen has a new release out, only the second in the past 12 years- it's at the top of my ever-growing wish list.

Yes, but mostly it is crap. I bought my first TT there - a nice Technics SL-D3 for $15. Yesterday I saw a single Boston Acoustics A60 speaker with messy surrounds. The nice Tandbergs are few and far between (mind you this is Tandberg country).

Kind of surprising you don't find any Tandberg stuff over there. Before ebay you couldn't Find anything tandberg here either unless you were seriously lucky.

In all the years I have been searching the only decent Tandberg I have found is my studio monitors.

Grumpy,
I suspect the Tandbergs are 'siphoned off' before they reach the store. They are readily available on the local auction site www.qxl.no. If you are interested look at http://www.qxl.no/default/defaultlistelse.asp?catg=11385&listingtype=0&listingsort=0&15511 and especially here: http://www.qxl.no/default/defaultlistelse.asp?catg=11644&listingtype=0&listingsort=0&15511 .

A Norwegian hi-fi magazine recently favorably tested a 70s Tandberg 'Huldra 10' receiver used as a pre-amplifier. Currently a Huldra 10 sells for about $150.

Dang there are a whole lot of zeros after those prices. :yikes: Then again different currency.

Hmm I wonder how much my studio monitors would bring over there :)

Looking at that auction site makes me realize I could go on a serious music buying spree there!
