5th string wideout Kelly Campbell!! Sounds like a girls name to me!! Trust me, you'd have a better chance to get 7 points than him/her.

You never know Moss is out so anything can happen ;) I hope I win just to rub it in again! I'm as shocked as anyone I am at where I'm at with such shitty ass players

I say again we need a real draft next year, I get stuck with who I got while look at the stacked teams some of you others ended up with, not fair, not fair at all :worried:

I have to admit it's been a fun ride, probably wouldn't have been as fun if I had a better team cuz I couldn't enjoy my victories so much :D

Wait a minute! What kind of a league is this where a guy can pick a player up at 8:07 PM on Sunday night and play him in the Monday night game??? I don't know, it might be just me, but that just don't seem right?!?!?

Here's where Kelly Campbell was just picked up last night:

Commish, I'm looking for a ruling on this one. I'll go with what ever the ruling is, but in every other league I've ever been in, line ups are in by noon on Sunday and can't be changed after that.

Well, sad to say, the Yahoo rules do allow such moves.

You can change your lineups until the games start too. Like tonight if you had Culpepper AND Manning, you could swap them in and out until kickoff.

So if someone drops the ball and leaves a "bye", hurt, or IR player in, don't start giving them chit until the all his bench players games have started. Even then, they could drop someone from the bench and pick up a MNF player.

BTW ProAc, if Culpepper can get me 25 pts tonight, I'll be back on top. The good news is that if Pinky loses, his point total will drop him down to what, 6th ??? place. Lots of pink behinds for him to be looking at then :butt1:

Mr. Thor. excuse me but I like this auto draft. Got it done quick, you know kind of like "Git-er-done". I think the key was to rate the players you want prior to the draft. I spent some time evaluating the players and ranking them by position and then stratifing them. I saw very quickly that there were fewer first quality running backs, then slightly more qaulity QB's, then many quality receivers. Consequently I ranked the the few top quality running backs high on my list foloowed by the few quality QB's. I would run the risk of not getting the best of the wide receivers but they were more plentiful and there were a great number of them in the second stratification of receivers. I determined by my personal rankings where I wanted the auto draft to select first. the pre determined rankings seem to value the receivers too high as far as I could tell.

The only thing "fairer" would be a live draft where you have to actually make your picks.

This years draft was very fair. The order was determined by Yahoo and I posted several times on reading the rules and preranking, etc. If some guys got "loaded", like me, that's because we moved our rankings. I lost out on RBs because I moved Culpepper and Moss to the top portion of my list. I know others did the same. If you did nothing, Yahoo would pick from their list of prerankings, which, BTW, is what WILL happen too if we go live next year and you can't make it.

The draft snakes around too, which is to say, Thor got the 12th, and 13th picks, Lightning got 1st, 24th, and 25th, you get the picture. That is actually pretty neat, because it tends to even out the field.

The other issue is that the draft is a crap shoot in a lot of cases; players don't live up to the hype, just like the real world. Look at Ben Rothelisberger, Eli Manning and Philip Rivers, need I say more.

So enjoy your ride at the top while you can, sooner or later someone will give you the whupping' you so richly deserve and bring you back to earth. :lmao:

That's cool. Mr. Campbell's going to have to have a heckuva night for Thor to win anyway. Let's just hope he doesn't open the game by returning a kick all the way for a T.D.!

That hardly seems like a righteous rule to me. You can pick up a player on a Sunday night to play in Mondays game? If I was the commish still that would be vetoed. :) Is that self serving?? HELL YEAH IT"S SELF SERVING!!!

Just like picking someone up on Saturday, or even Sunday morning to play.
It usually only happens in single positions like TE, K, or DEF where folks don't carry a second player, but don't want to take a zero at the position. Also, they have to DROP someone too, and in a picked over league like ours, who they drop sometimes could be more valuable than who they pick up.

I don't think we'll be seeing Campbell with many more starts this year. :D

Oh, btw, Yahoo allows waiver pickups, but I won't allow any trades timed like this.
Which is to say that if someone actually liked Thor leading and offered to trade say Marvin Harrison, Marcus Robinson, or Reggie Wayne to him tonight so he could beat Retro, I'd veto it.
Not sure if Yahoo would allow it either based on thiming.

Ain't that the truth! I pretty much got who I wanted in the draft with Mcnabb, Barber, Stephen Davis, etc., however, as everyone knows Davis got hurt, Mcnabb has 25 point games one week and .05 games the next, while Barber who was not at the top of my list has been the only consistent performer I have.

Hard to believe Mikes kicker scores more points than my #1 QB, WR's (all of them!), and Defense combined  . Thats at least twice, that I know of, his kicker has had over 20 point games! :yikes:
