Cool, I must have missed that episode.

it was this :

Season 5, Episode 3 – Aired: 10/2/2001
Papa Was Almost a Rolling Stone
Dharma learns that her dad, Larry, used to sing and play guitar in a band but gave it all up when she was born. Feeling guilty, she tries to convince him to perform again. Meanwhile, Larry and Abby set up some old pirate radio broadcasting equipment in Dharma's living room to give her something to do while she's recuperating. Initially, Greg scoffs at "Radio Dharma," but one on-air debate with a caller later and he's hooked. Meanwhile, Edward's old running suit hits a sour note with Kitty when it is discovered "lost" in a box of Greg's old possessions, and Edward refuses to stop wearing it.

Moody Blues .....

I love that band. I have a pretty good collection on vinyl, that I really wouldn't mind recording on tape when I get a deck.:D

My wife laughs at me all the time for hitting pause and then telling her the make and model number of the tape deck that I see on the TV. I can almost always identify them immediately.

I thought this was one of those "you know you're a redneck...." kind of threads and I was gonna say "When you splice your Fettucinni, but you guys are ...Trekkies. I'm sorry, that was uncalled for.

Where is the shot of the 8 tracks from? I'll bet there is not one working cart in that entire collection.
Best format ever if you don't consider vinyl, or reel to reel, or cassette, or CD or MP3s. Yep eliminate them and its the best ever!

I'm like that, too. Whenever audio gear appears in a TV show, movie or print ad, I'm staring at the gear and trying to identify it, rather than paying attention to the main characters or the plot. It's almost a compulsion/addiction!

Also, Moody Blues = :music: = :thmbsp:

That equalizer looks like a Realistic catalog number 31-1987 in the 1980 catalog page 23.

can't tell - but i can imagine their trouble finding working things - even if that episode was made 10 years ago, much of the equipment would be oldies :)

And i also noticed some reel's on top of the tapedeck - haven't we all done that sometime ? I did, and learned a lesson :thumbsdn:

Ohh 4 PM here .... time to grab the freeze button :)
