Hey All,

A good friend of mine just bought a new lap top and wants some good 'phones to use with it. He says it has a JBL sound card and he listens to classical almost exclusively. I'd appreciate any thoughts.

Thanks a lot

George

Well I recommend Grado SR60's nto too expensive but best you can get for the money.

Well there would be two arguments here I reckon--

1 - If its a cheap soundcard in a laptop computer - you want portability and possibly very good quality is a waste.

or

2 - If you're not getting exceptional quality from the card, all the more reason for exceptional headphones! You dont want any more quality lost!

Yeah. Depends on useage and soundcard quality.

I reckon for portability, Grado SR-40's and for good quality SR-60's.
