If you are in Illinois consider this one. I am not affiliated nor have i ever dealt with this seller but I know that table is not going to survive shipping. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=3283&item=5737527921&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

Is Sota still around? If so, you should be able to purchase the correct shipping boxes and packaging materials from them for a minimal cost ($35, or so). When I recently sold a VPI HW-19 Mk III, VPI was happy to supply the boxes. Same with a set of Soliloquy speakers and McIntosh amp. The manufacturers are generally most willing to sell the packaging needed to get their products shipped safely.

Yes Sota is still around @ www.sotaturntables.com They will be more then happy to sell you the box. Now another thing to remember is this table has a special board that locks down the sub chassis and you HAVE to have that for shipping as well. I think for both the box and the board its around 50.00. Its well worth it for peace of mind. Shipping a Saphire without either of these will turn it into a 60 pound pile of splinters.

Good luck and I hope an AK member gets it.

If you are serious about wanting, ask the seller if he/she will package and ship if you supply the correct factory supplied shipping materials. Quite often that is all that is holding them back.

I paid nearly 800 for mine with the same arm but mine has the optional Rosewood plinth and its in extremely sweet shape.

Normally the oak saphires sell in the 350-600 range. anything less is a steal !

Thanks, it is a de-lovely looking table. I'm still sweet on trying to re-purchase a H/K t65C...but I think the Sota would be an excellent alternative.

ps...you're not so Grumpy :)

Dang I didn't realize it came with the project phono box. That alone is worth about 50-75.00 plus if the Blue point is any decent. Anything under 400.00 is an absolute steal !
