Just got back from a weekend in NYC where I dropped off my 1219 with No Transitors (aka, Seth) for some repairs. While I ran around lower Manhattan and Brooklyn, Seth worked his magic on the 1219. By the time I had finished my Xmas shopping and museum hopping and listening to live jazz in the village (something more than 24 hours) Seth had waved his magic wand (screwdriver?) at the 1219 and everthing was operating properly. Seth dialed the 1219 up on his Fisher tube system playing through his set of Pioneer HPM-99A (I think he said) speakers, and voila, beautiful music!! I was much impressed with the lovely sound from the 1219, Sony cartridge, Fisher tubes and Pioneer speakers. Terrific!! Thanks so much to Seth. Another helpful fellow AKer! Now I have to give to my brother (or let him fight it out with my daughter).
